A Hidden Gem in St. Pete!
About the Pesky Pelican Brew Pub
The Pesky Pelican has an intriguing name and backstory. Dan Pemberton, a self-proclaimed “accidental restaurateur,” founded the local brewpub in 2016.
Pemberton is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Before becoming a restaurant owner, he worked in the software development industry. However, he has nearly two decades of beer brewing experience!
Pemberton had long been involved with brew clubs and craft-beer festivals in the Tampa Bay area. His daughter, Daniele, has always had a passion for cooking.
The two had the vision to open a casual, family-friendly brewpub in St. Petersburg, Florida. Hence, the grand opening of the Pesky Pesky Pelican!
