The History of Ferg’s Sports Bar

Mark Ferguson, a St. Petersburg native, had the vision to open a sports bar in St. Pete’s Gas Plant District. His dream was to become the premier sports bar in the area.

In 1992, his vision became reality when Major League Baseball awarded the city of St. Petersburg with the Tampa Bay Rays!

Ferg’s is not your average sports bar and grill. Its versatile atmosphere makes it the perfect place for celebrating after the Ray’s game, kicking it with friends, or spending quality time with family.

Let’s talk food! Ferg’s chicken wings are crispy, juicy, and tender. No wonder they’re a favorite of St. Pete locals and visitors alike. From classic Honey BBQ to zingy Teriyaki Suicide, this local wing house has something for everyone.

Ferg’s is located at 1320 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705. From 16th Street, head east towards downtown on Central Avenue and it will be on your right-hand side. (It’s before the roundabout.)
